Amanda Szokoly is a Partner with the firm. Her practice focuses primarily on local government representation and defense, insurance defense, and property-related litigation. She also represents individuals and entities in breach of contract actions, business disputes, defamation cases, estate and probate matters, construction litigation, and issues arising out of real estate purchase agreements and community association covenants and restrictions. In addition, Amanda assists clients with a wide variety of drafting needs.
Amanda is admitted to practice law in Georgia state and superior courts, the Georgia Court of Appeals, and the Georgia Supreme Court, as well as before the United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Georgia, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States of America. She is also a registered mediator in the State of Georgia.
Amanda is past-president of the Glynn County Bar Association and the Glynn County Young Lawyer’s Division. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the State Bar of Georgia’s Young Lawyers Division and is a co-chair of the State Bar of Georgia’s Young Lawyers Division Legal Food Frenzy Committee. She is a 2018 graduate of the State Bar of Georgia’s Young Lawyers Division Leadership Academy.
Amanda graduated summa cum laude from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History. She went on to graduate cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law. During law school, Amanda was selected to participate in a week-long course on the federal common law taught by Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. Amanda also participated in a number of civil clinics while in Athens, including externships with the Athens-Clarke County Attorney’s Office and the Carl Vinson Institute of Government.
Amanda is a lifelong resident of Glynn County. She lives in Brunswick with her husband, Daniel.
