Eric Bumgartner Successfully Argues and Wins Anti-SLAPP Motion to Dismiss Defamation Claims

Eric Bumgartner successfully defended his client, a recent political candidate, against defamation claims asserted against him based on statements made on the campaign trail. Eric argued that the defamation claims violated Georgia’s Anti-Strategic Litigation Against Public Participation (SLAPP) laws and were subject to dismissal. The trial court agreed and awarded Eric’s client his attorneys’ fees and expenses.
